Guided Winter Hike

New Jersey Sled Dog Club Education Program & Demonstration

Lake Marcia:

Bundle up and bring the whole family for a day of winter fun. Activities will include winter themed crafts, guided winter hike, story corner, sing along, hot cocoa and cookies by the fire, sled dog program, snowshoeing, ice fishing, and curling demonstrations (conditions permitting). 

Admission to the Winter Festival is FREE, but a suggested donation of $5 or more per family is appreciated.

The New Jersey Dog Sled Club will attend and present an education program and sled dog demonstration.

The Plainfield Curling club will share their love of curling on Lake Marcia so be sure to stop by for a demonstration and to tryout the sport for yourself.

Winter Festival Schedule 

12 pm – 3 pm Crafts, Cookies & Cocoa, Ice Fishing/Curling Demonstrations, Snowshoeing, and Sled Dogs
12:30 pm Guided Winter Hike
1:30 pm Winter Weather Discussion (tentative) 
2:15 pm Story Time
2:30 pm Sing-Along with Joe Rocco


Snow Date for the Winter Festival is Sunday, January 29, from 12 pm to 3 pm. We will post an update on this page and on Facebook if there is a need to postpone to the snow date. Happy Winter!
