Late Autumn at High Point

Hello Friends,

Hopefully you read The Monument newsletter that was recently sent out to our members. Unfortunately, we published the wrong date for the Friends of High Point State Park Fall Meeting. The meeting is NOT Saturday, November 1. We are sorry for any inconvenience or confusion.

Please consider joining us for the Friends of High Point State Park Fall Meeting on Saturday, November 15, at 1 pm in the HPSP Interpretive Center. The Friends of HPSP meets only three times a year – this is your opportunity to learn how to become more involved in our activities. A potluck lunch will take place starting at noon, before the meeting. Please bring something to share. All members and interested volunteers are welcome to attend.

If you plan on attending the meeting, please email Michelle at friendshpsp@gmail.com.

Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who came out to share the beautiful day we had for our Open Hearth Cooking event. We hope you enjoyed the culinary talents and fire skills of the Friends and our group of tireless volunteers. Photos from the day are now available for viewing from our photos page or by clicking here.

Open Hearth Cooking, 2014

High Point State Park is beautiful in the fall. The landscape changes with each passing day. As the leaves turn and cast their fates to the wind, the silhouette of the land is revealed.

Lusscroft Farm, High Point State Park

This is a wonderful time of the year to explore the park. The crowds are gone and there is quiet solitude waiting for you. Come take a walk on the trails, sit by the lakes, or watch the clouds go by on the breezy mountaintop. There is something for everyone throughout the year at High Point State Park.

Yoga on the Mountain
