Welcome to the Friends of High Point State Park 
Summer Concert Series

The Friends of High Point State Park invite you to join them this summer for magical evenings of music in the park. Bring your family and friends up the mountain for a day of fun, then stay for a fabulous concert on the beach. Spread a blanket out on the grass and enjoy a picnic supper. Dance barefooted in the sand. Summer nights were made for music under the setting sun! 

The summer concert series at High Point State Park is FREE, but donations of $5 per adult are appreciated. All concerts will take place on the beach of Lake Marcia. Seating is lawn seating. Bring your own blankets and chairs. All concerts are family friendly events. Picnicking is encouraged. Alcohol is strictly forbidden. Park entrance fees apply before 4 pm and will be charged at the gate. 

In the event of rain, concerts will take place in the High Point State Park Interpretive Center.

(Rain moves concert into the Interpretive Center)

Summer Concert 1 - Lawlor, Hemmerlin, and Raquet
Saturday, June 23, 6-8pm
Lawlor, Hemmerlin, and Raquet join the Friends of High Point State Park Summer Concert Series for the first time with an acoustic rock music performance. Admission fee for this event is a suggested donation of $10 per adult. Children are admitted free. Seating is lawn seating. Bring your own blankets and chairs. The concert is a family friendly event. Picnicking is encouraged. Alcohol is strictly forbidden. Park entrance fees apply before 4 pm. In the event of rain, the concert will be held in the High Point State Park Interpretive Center.  



Summer Concert 2 - Patrick Fitzsimmons
Saturday, July 14, 6-8pm

Patrick Fitzsimmons

Patrick Fitzsimmons returns to the Friends of High Point State Park Summer Concert Series with his much loved songbook of contemporary folk music. A soulful, captivating songwriter and performer, Patrick Fitzsimmons will leaving you smiling and dreaming of Vermont Skies.

Admission fee for this event is a suggested donation of $10 per adult. Children are admitted free. Seating is lawn seating. Bring your own blankets and chairs. The concert is a family friendly event. Summer Concert Series Concert 3 – Jonathan Edwards
Sunday, August 19, 2012, 6-8 pm

 National Folk and Americana music veteran Jonathan Edwards will close the Friends of High Point State Park Summer Concert Series on the beach of Lake Marcia Sunday, August 19, 6 pm to 8 pm. Edwards’ highly respected repertoire includes such classics as “Honky Tonk Stardust Cowboy,” “Sometimes,” “One Day Closer,” “Don’t Cry Blue,” “Emma,”  “Everybody Knows Her,” “Athens County,” “Shanty,” and “Sunshine (Go Away Today).” 


The barefoot troubadour is sure to entertain both longtime fans and soon-to-be fans at this special night of music on the mountain.
